I was working on a game called "Simple Yet Not" (If I can find a older version of a .exe of it might make it available on the website) I put about 100 hours of work into it, then suddenly, everything fucked up. I lost the code files due to a sudden fuckup from my computer, meaning I lost EVERYTHING. One of the three worse days of my life pretty much. Since then I've made a few smaller projects like my two little fighting buddies game, but I've lost my touch, unable to do things like debug properly etc. I've been thinking of starting another game on that scale, but its like, is the pain of possibly losing it all again worth it? It's the hardest part of Game Dev, getting over loss. Nothing can come close, not even learning the code in my opinion. It is why a lot of my projects are online, like the new website I'm working on (This one), the story I'm writing (On Wattpad, 8thKingdom on there), the (shoddy text-to-speech) songs I'm writing (On Soundcloud, 8thKingdom on there), cause then I have the fact that I won't lose all my shit from a fuckup from my computer. My art stuff is the only thing I worry about, it's really my true passion and it's the one thing I can't really do online (when I say online, in the story case I'm writing it online, not in word then transferring it)
Computer Fuckups. Yay.
